Giorgio Di Tillio

Born in Bosisio Parini (Como) on February 17th, 1960, Giorgio started playing drums at the age of 11. At 17 he began studying with Maestro Lucchini at Capolinea in Milano. He has also attended seminars with: Elvin Jones, Peter Erskine, Steve Gadd, Jack De Johnette, Paul Wertico, Gregg Bissonette, Trilok Gurtu, Steve Smith, Jamey Haddad.

He has participated in numerous musical events including: the "Festival delle Percussioni" at "Teatro Ciak" in Milano during 1991, Tirano and St. Moritz during 1994, "Festival Jazz di Lugano" in 1997 and in 1998, "Festival Jazz di Zugo" (CH) in 1998, "Montreaux Jazz Festival" in 1999, "Salento Jazz", "Bordighera Jazz Festival", "Euro Meet Veneto Jazz Festival".

He is one of the authors of the drums manual "Nuovi Orizzonti Musicali (Batteria Etnica e Tradizionale)", printed by BMG Ricordi.
