Mapex artist Bernard “Bingo” Deslauriers alongside Céline Dion and Bob Walsh at the Air Canada Center
This past summer, Mapex artist Bernard “Bingo” Deslauriers (pictured third from right) shared the stage with Céline Dion (center) and Quebec blues veteran Bob Walsh (pictured third from left) at the Air Canada Center in Toronto. Dion and Walsh had met some three years ago at an annual golf tournament at Le Mirage Golf Club in Quebec. She was so impressed with Walsh’s music that she asked him and his band (including his drummer Bernard Deslauriers) to be a part of this special show for Air Canada’s best customers. This is a reunion for Bingo as he used to play alongside Céline Dion in the 90’s on a daily TV program as well as on annual telethons.

As one of Montreal’s busiest drummers, Bingo was heavily featured on television in the 80’s and 90’s together with Quebec’s top artists. Nowadays, Bingo plays Quebec’s festival circuit with singers including Bob Walsh whom he’s worked with for three albums over the past eight years. This past summer, Bingo was touring with Walsh to promote his latest album, Bob Walsh – Blues.
