Mapex to Introduce Black Panther Deep Forest Walnut Snares in 2007

Black Panther will be releasing three new walnut snares in the Deep Forest line for 2007. Sizes are 14”x6.5”, 14”x5.5”, and an all-new Black Panther configuration: 13”x6”. The new snares will have 8.5mm thick shells (2.4mm thicker than Black Panther’s current walnut snare), and 3mm die-cast hoops. The thicker shell provides excellent sound projection and produces a sharp “crack”. The snare is fitted with black chrome hardware and the drum has a new hand-lacquered finish called Brown Sugar Burst. The 14”x5.5” model comes with a standard 20-strand snare wire, while the 14”x6.5” and 13”x6” models come equipped with 42-strand snare wires. Black Panther continues to be one of the only drum brands offering all-walnut shells.

The new Deep Forest Walnut Snares will be available in Canada in February 2007.
