MAPEX ADDS FINISHES TO PRO M SERIES, EXTENDS FREE SNARE OFFER

Mapex is introducing two new lacquer finishes to its popular Pro M Series: Sienna Burst, a grain-enhancing honey-to-brown burst and Sapphire Burst that fades from a transparent sapphire blue to black. Like all Mapex lacquer finishes these new colors are hand applied and hand buffed to a deep, high-gloss shine.

Mapex has also extended its “Buy the Kit, Get the Cat” promotion for a third year. In 2008, purchasers of select Pro M models are rewarded with a free Black Panther 13x6 Maple and Cherry Snare Drum finished in Transparent Black lacquer.

2008 Pro M kits will be available in the Fusionease configuration (PM5245U) which includes a 22x18 bass drum, 10x8 and 12x9 tom toms, 14x14 floor tom, and a 14x5.5 snare drum. The set includes a full complement of hardware including a P750A bass drum pedal, a H750A hi-hat stand, S550A snare, C550A cymbal stand and B550A boom stand. The set carries a list price of $1,899.00, and an add-on 16x16 floor tom is available in most colors for a list price of $409.00.

“While the Fusion configuration (PM5225U with a 14x11 tom tom) remains a steady seller, our shift towards the Fusionease configuration is in response to the market’s growing demand for configurations with floor toms,” said Sami Kizilbash, Musical Instruments Product Manager at SF Marketing, Mapex’s exclusive Canadian distributor. “By stocking the 16x16 floor toms, we offer Canadian drummers an easy add-on option not only in the Pro M Series, but the Saturn and M Birch Series as well.”

The Pro M Series features hybrid North American and Asian maple shells and the Mapex Isolated Tom Mount System that ensures maximum shell resonance.
